The tornado destruction on Leap Day continues to improve daily as more businesses reopen. Decisions are being finalized regarding the demolition of several buildings and now it seems Branson will move forward with final debris cleanup! Two more theaters opened this month! Starlite Theatre reopened May 18th with The Texas Tenors and Cirque Montage have returned on May 25. The New Americana Theatre reopened May 22nd. The Americana is the home of many great shows including Cassandre’, The Voice of an Angel, Todd Oliver & Friends, Joseph Hall “The Elvis Experience” and 3 Redneck Tenors. Several other businesses have reopened including Track 4, H&J Gifts (next door), The Best Western (across the street from us), and Nature’s Sunshine! Some buildings have been torn to the ground, but the owners have found the good in this difficult decision. Charlie’s Steaks, Ribs, & Ale, built in 1968, was demolished Monday, May 7, and they made every effort to save certain parts of the original landscaping so those pieces could become a part of the new restaurant. The manager said they were excited to see the new plans come to life with the restaurant being bigger and better. The owner of Charlie’s Steaks, Ribs, & Ale hopes to have the restaurant up and running by October.
